Wedding Flowers with Pussy Willow
Planning wedding flowers with pussy willow is a lovely idea if you are getting married in winter or spring. I just can't stop myself from stroking the little furry buds on the pussy willow no matter how many times I use it. You can see the buds in this close up of a table center.
Pussy Willow Centerpieces
Pussy willow is quite straight so you can make some striking geometric designs as in the photo below. It is also surprisingly pliable. So it can easily be bent into curved structures if you are looking to create some more dramatic effects.
Pussy Willow Bouquets and Boutonnieres
Small pieces of pussy willow can be incorporated into boutonnieres as you can see that we've done in the photo below.
You can also use it in bouquets. We've even created circular bouquet collars from pussy willow. This shows just how flexible it can be.
Pussy willow can also be incorporated into other flower arrangements. It is good for adding height, structure and texture to pedestal and other venue arrangements.
Types of Wedding Flowers with Pussy Willow
We often use tulips with pussy willow (as you can see from the photos), as their shapes naturally complement each other and they are out at the same time of year. However there are plenty of other flowers that you could use. Roses, ranunculus and gerberas would all work. And an amaryllis table center with pussy willow would look quite spectacular.
